John P. Reinthaler AAMS®
Senior Director
John Reinthaler is a Wealth Advisor and Senior Director at Heck Capital Advisors and is based in Heck Capital’s Rhinelander office. John graduated from University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He began his investment career in 1998 and earned his Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) designation, awarded by College for Financial Planning. The AAMS® program consists of 10 modules, starting with a review of the asset management process, and then covers a broad range of topics, such as investments, insurance, taxation, retirement, and estate planning issues. John is also a Registered Investment Advisor Representative and has earned numerous securities examinations.
John’s primary responsibilities include servicing client relationships by providing investment and planning advice to families, high‐net-worth individuals, and organizations as well as establishing new client relationships for Heck Capital. With over 25 years of experience, John has guided clients through every type of market scenario. He is well suited to work with goal-driven individuals and families and high-net-worth relationships, providing prudent investment and financial planning advice to help clients with their investment goals and objectives.
John is a member of the Rhinelander Kiwanis Club and serves its executive board. He is a member of the Rhinelander District Library Foundation Board. From 2004 to 2019, John was President of Rhinelander Little League.
John resides in Rhinelander, WI with his wife Julie and their dog Lowki. John enjoys spending time with his family (including four children and two grandchildren) and friends. He and Julie love a good campfire, cocktail and cooking on the grill. Everyone is welcome anytime.

Martin A. Owens CFA, CFP®
Director
Marty Owens is a member of Heck Capital’s Wealth Management team, serving as a Director and Wealth Advisor. He is based in Heck Capital’s Minneapolis office.
Marty graduated Magna Cum Laude from Gannon University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and earned his MBA in Finance from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management. Marty began his investment career in 1993 and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter. The Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) charter is a designation given to those who have completed the CFA® Program and completed acceptable work experience requirements. Marty has also earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification assessed his ability to integrate and apply a broad base of financial planning knowledge in the context of real-life financial planning situations. CFP® professionals have met extensive training and experience requirements and commit to CFP Board's ethical standards that require them to put their clients' interests first.
Marty has extensive experience in investment consulting, as well as investment research at various financial management firms. Marty worked as a Corporate Banking Associate at U.S. Bancorp, NA, and as Vice President of Sales and Marketing at The Leuthold Group, LLC, where he was responsible for managing relationships and growing revenue in capital management and institutional research divisions. He served as a Regional Director at Dimensional Fund Advisors in Austin, TX where he conducted portfolio analysis, and communicated investment opportunities with financial advisors.
Marty’s primary responsibilities include servicing client relationships by providing investment and planning advice to families, high‐net-worth individuals, and organizations as well as establishing new client relationships for Heck Capital. In addition, Marty is part of Heck Capital’s Investment Committee.
Marty is a member of the Financial Planning Association of MN and serves on the Association's Programs Committee. The Program's Committee ensures the Association provides a strong, educational basis of engaging topics. Marty is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Three Rivers Park District Foundation, serving on the Finance Committee. The Foundation's initiatives are to provide accessibility to the Parks through Adaptive Programs for people with physical and cognitive disabilities, Explorer Camps for youth in under-represented communities, and Pathways Internships for youth and young adults facing barriers to employment. Marty also serves on the Board of Directors for Inner City Tennis (ICT). ICT's mission is to develop and unleash the potential of youth on and off the tennis court by engaging and serving a supportive community. Previously he was a Vice President on the Lake Travis, TX Girls Lacrosse Board of Directors, and served on the Board of Directors of Doing Good Together in Minnesota.
Marty and his wife, Brodie, a veterinarian, along with their two daughters, Ainsley and Lindsey, live in Plymouth, MN. Marty spends his time attending his daughters' alpine ski races, lacrosse games, and horse jumping lessons. He takes a break to road and mountain bike, and play hockey.

Olivia H. Stoll CFP®, ChFC®
Associate Director
Olivia Stoll is an Associate Director and Wealth Advisor based in Heck Capital’s Rhinelander office. Olivia began her investment career in 2019 and provides comprehensive financial planning for clients. Olivia graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee with a Master of Science in Professional Accounting in 2017 and earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting in 2016. Olivia obtained her CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 2021, and her Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation in 2022, through the American College of Financial Services, Olivia also passed her Series 65, Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination in 2019, and is State of Wisconsin Life & Health Insurance licensed.
Prior to Heck Capital Advisors, Olivia worked for a public accounting firm where she prepared individual and business tax returns, provided tax planning advice for clients, and assisted with audits of governmental entities and nonprofit organizations.
Olivia’s primary responsibilities include providing detailed, in‐depth financial planning, meeting with clients and prospective clients to review financial plans and portfolios, providing investment advice to individuals and families, and establishing new client relationships. Olivia is well suited to work with individuals to provide financial planning, as her designations and prior accounting experience allow her to assist individuals with their various planning needs.
Olivia was nominated for the Top 10 Under 40 award through the Rhinelander Area Chamber of Commerce and Forward Rhinelander for both 2021 and 2022 and received the award in 2022. The award recognizes young adults making a difference in Rhinelander. She is also the Vice President of the Rhinelander Area Scholarship Foundation which provides scholarship recognition to Rhinelander graduates who plan to further their education beyond the high school level.
Olivia resides in Rhinelander, WI with her husband, Jason, their two cats, Lady Grantham & Saffron, and their dog, Daisy. Olivia enjoys spending time with her family and her pets, reading, gardening, doing yoga, kayaking, and being outdoors.

Phillip A. Sanchez CPFA®

Heck Capital is pleased to welcome Phillip Sanchez to our team! Phillip is a Wealth Advisor and Associate Director, serving clients from Heck Capital's Scottsdale office. Phillip graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and began his investment career in 2014. He brings extensive experience from two of the largest investment advisory firms in the industry where he served as Vice President, and was consistently recognized as a high achiever who delivered exceptional client service and comprehensive wealth management guidance to clients. In his previous role, Phillip advised and consulted to over $1 billion of client relationships.
Phillip earned the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) credential from the National Association of Plan Advisors. Earning the designation requires advisors to complete an extremely rigorous course and exam, covering a wide range of advanced topics. The certification demonstrates Phillip’s expertise and understanding of how to effectively evaluate, design, implement and manage an employer-sponsored retirement plan.
In addition to his financial services background, Phillip served in the United States Marine Corps as a Captain and Logistics Officer, leading more than 100 Marines and overseeing unit readiness and mission execution. His military experience instilled a disciplined, process-driven approach and reinforced his commitment to serving others.
Phillip resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Krystle, and their two children. The Sanchez family is actively involved in their community. Phillip serves on the stewardship committee at his local parish, and Krystle is a committee member of the Arizona Piano Teachers Association. Together, they participate in events supporting Phoenix Children's Hospital, volunteering at local food banks, and spend time visiting residents at a nearby assisted living community.

My wife is from Okinawa Japan, and our family enjoys visiting her relatives there. In my free time, I enjoy playing billiards and taking the car to the track with my father and brother.

I follow a three-step process to help clients pursue their goals:

Steven M. Reiss CPA, CFP®
Senior Associate
Steven M. Reiss is a CPA and CFP® professional. He is a Senior Associate and Wealth and Tax Planning Advisor at Heck Capital Advisors, and is based in Heck Capital’s Milwaukee office. Steven began his accounting career in 2014 and provides tax and financial planning advice to High-Net-Worth individuals and families.
Steven graduated magna cum laude from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and minors in Psychology and Economics. Steven earned his Master of Science in Accountancy degree from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business and became a CPA. Steven completed CFP® coursework through the University of Georgia Terry College of Business and earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification.
Prior to joining Heck Capital, Steven started his career at BDO, preparing gift tax returns and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts. He has spent his entire career working for Top 15 national accounting firms. As a tax manager at Forvis Mazars in Houston (formerly BKD), and later CBIZ in Nashville (formerly Marcum) he managed numerous projects and consulted on complex federal and state tax strategies for High-Net-Worth clients and their businesses.
Steven’s primary responsibilities include working with the Wealth Advisory team to provide holistic tax and financial planning advice for families and individuals. Steven also serves as a member of Heck Capital’s Advisory/All Advisor Committee and is a member of our Wealth Advisory Team. Steven is well suited to work with High-Net-Worth individuals and families, and individuals with complex tax situations.
Steven is an Eagle Scout and serves his community by volunteering at his local food bank. He resides in Pewaukee with his wife and two-year-old son.

Sam Brettingen is a Senior Associate and Wealth Advisor based in Heck Capital’s Milwaukee office. Sam graduated from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. Sam passed his Series 65, Uniform Investment Adviser Law Examination in 2021 and is State of Wisconsin Life & Health Insurance licensed. Sam also earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation in 2025.
Prior to Heck Capital Advisors, Sam worked for an insurance company where he developed and implemented insurance strategies for families and individuals in the areas of life, disability, long-term care, critical illness, and Medicare supplement insurance.
Sam is responsible for providing investment advice and recommendations to individual clients and families, developing formal financial plan outputs and establishing new client relationships. In addition, Sam develops client proposals and reports for individuals and families in conjunction with other advisors. Sam is well-versed in helping individuals reach their financial goals through disciplined investing and financial planning.
Sam resides in Waukesha, WI and enjoys spending time in Northern Wisconsin with friends and family, playing golf, attending sporting events, and travelling. Sam is a member of the endowment board at Corpus Christi Parish in Waukesha a, is a member of the Lake States Lumber Association Recreation Committee and enjoys volunteering for additional causes in the area.

Todd (TJ) Manteufel CFP®

TJ Manteufel is a Wealth Advisor based in Heck Capital’s Milwaukee office. TJ graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. TJ was previously with Prudential Financial and passed his SIE - Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7 – General Securities Representative Qualification Examination, and Series 66 – NASAA Uniform Combined State Law Examination in 2024. As part of the Wealth Management team, TJ is responsible for providing investment advice and recommendations to individual clients and families, developing formal financial plan outputs, and establishing new client relationships. In addition, TJ develops client proposals and reports for individuals and families in conjunction with other advisors. TJ is well-versed in helping individuals reach their financial goals through disciplined investing and financial planning. In his spare time, TJ serves as a committee member for Koos for Kids, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for terminally ill and disadvantaged children in Southeastern Wisconsin. They achieve this through their Challenger bowling and baseball leagues, fulfilling gifts and wishes for children with terminal illnesses, organizing group outings for children with special needs, and more!
